The DANMAP seminar is held annually by the National Food Institute at DTU and the Statens Serum Institut. Here, the latest results from the monitoring of antibiotic use and resistance in Denmark are presented.
Every year during week 47, stakeholders worldwide focus on the risks associated with inappropriate and unnecessary use of antibiotics. In this context, the parties behind the Danish monitoring program DANMAP invite you to a seminar on antibiotic use and resistance in Denmark.
The seminar reviews the key findings from the annual DANMAP report, which details the use of antibiotics in animals and humans, as well as the occurrence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in animals, food, and humans in Denmark. Additionally, other topics relevant to antibiotic use and resistance will be presented by invited speakers.
Since 1995, the DANMAP program has monitored the use of antibiotics in humans and animals in Denmark, as well as the occurrence of antibiotic resistance among bacteria from animals, humans, and food. DANMAP is one of the oldest monitoring programs in the world in the field of antibiotic use and resistance.
